Amadora is a municipality in the metropolitan area of Lisbon which hosts more than 40 different nationalities and about 11% of the population is foreign. Starting from the 70s, migrants coming from the portuguese colonies started to settle down in various areas of Amadora, building entire neighborhoods and developing communities.

In this project I face the hard reality and the social issues that these neighborhoods have been fighting for many years: racial discrimination, unemployment, demolition of housing, police violence and much more, with the hope to reach an audience that can give voice to these communities in order to preserve some of its legacy for posterity which unfortunately is in danger of being completely destroyed.
